Over the past few years, I've been fortunate enough to create artwork and design for Toronto based musician Little Kid. The music could be classified under genres like indie-folk, singer/songwriter, ambient, field-recordings, and indie rock, with central themes surrounding doubt and detachment of faith and love. Most of the work created for Little Kid was cobbled out of a very instinctive and immediate process. It's an attempt at a visual output that's synonymous to the beautifully raw aesthetic of the music.
A set of icons was created to accompany the 10 tracks on the insert; each one tied in some way to the stories being told. Some were drawn from existing Christian symbology while others represent objects or themes taken directly from the lyrics.
A limited run, two colour risograph poster was created for a show at the Silver Dollar Room with Car Seat Headrest. Printed beautifully by Colour Code Printing in west-end Toronto.
